I allowed my brother in law to use my Jetski about a month ago. Evidently, he never washed out the inter-cooler nor did he wash the machine.

I just got it back and there's salt water still on the machine. No noticeable corrosion in the engine bay likely due to my intense caring for it. However, there's un-dried saltwater all over the outside.

What would you do? Besides not letting him borrow it again, which I won't. It was properly sealed via Seadoo saltwater resistance spray before he took it out. Anything else I should be on the look out for?

Thanks in advance!

BTW, before he used it, I had thoroughly sprayed down the motor and the exterior with Sea-Doo products. Under the seat looks fine exceot for the oil caop which I already knew needing replacing after my first year of ownership. I've a plan to cure that ball of shit. Anything else you're be concerned about?

That's a real bummer hawk I would just clean it up and make sure intercooler Is not damaged . What can you do its family though . He probably didn't know what to do

I would take it for a good long wet ride. NOTHING will flush out the intercooler better than the jet pump.

I purchased a gas pressure washer and it works fantastic.. I wash everything, top to bottom and front to back. I use the low pressure soap tip and have car wash soap and Salt Away in the container. Use a hand towel to wipe everything I can reach, then spray it all off including the engine.

The engine is still hot from me out riding so it dries quickly. I then spray CRC on the engine and more affordable WD-40 on all external metal parts including anything metal on the trailer.
