Boring 787 1.5 over. Question about head

Hello, if I bore my cylinders to 1.5 over do I need to match the head. I have gotten conflicting opinions on this question and I would just like to get the communities thoughts on this.

I was going to have cylinders bored and buy new pistons. Now i'm thinking I may just go with a cylinder head exchange and go back to stock bore, start fresh.

No you do not have to machine the head. You will have to trim the rave valves so they don't hit the piston. This is coming from someone who has a 1.5 overbore so I know first hand
