Bolts from nozzle to jet pump.

On one of my 97 SPXs the jet pump and nozzle are in rough shape. It was clearly a salt water ski and has been abused. When I got it the nozzle was busted up and I quickly realized that was probably why the two previous owners considered it a parts ski. One of the bolts was out on the nozzle, and the other 3 just snapped off. Went to go pull the entire jet pump and it was held on with 5 tubes of silicone and one of the studs was fused to the pump with grit. Took a week of soaking it with WD40 and a bit of prying to pop it loose. Knocked the nozzle off and soaked the broken bolts for the past few days. Welded some nuts on them and that did nothing. It's was almost like I had no penetration on the actual bolt. It would just break lose on the same surface of the original break. Are the OEM bolts in these things Stainless? They are almost acting that way with the welding, but they are definitely magnetic. If so I'll bring it to work and Tig them at some point.

Looks like you might have enough room to use a double nut on there to get it out? I was a WD-40 user up until about a year ago when I was put onto ATF and acetone mix. I now use PB blaster, it’s a much better penetrant than WD-40.

Heat, lots of heat on the aluminum housing. Heat and then boil PB Blaster into it, then let it cool. Do this a few times. On the last cooling cycle then get it really really hot and try removing the stud.

Weld a stainless nut on it with a TIG welder and unscrew is the easiest method but few have a TIG welder in the garage.
