I have a 2008 seadoo speedster and my rear boat line attached to my mooring cleat got caught in the impeller and immediately snapped the rope.
I took the boat out of the water and removed the rope( not a ski rope)
from the impeller- This was fairly easy.
Can anybody tell me if they have had this happen. If so, were there any
consequences?

There is really nothing to worry about if you were able to turn the motor off pretty quick. This is a common find that we see.

Well funny you mention this. The last few times I took my ski out it felt very under powered and sluggish, and would cavitate on occasion. I checked several times for grass or debris under there just by feeling...and found nothing. Was not till I got it home and on the stand that my friend crawled under it and looked inside the grate. He found a ton of that yellow nylon rope wrapped around my drive shaft. We took the grate off and got a knife and cut it all off...took the ski back out it it was much better. No damage that I could see ( I could see where my prop chewed the ends of the rope off that made it through). Still baffled on where I picked that up at. I dont even own any rope like that)

Thank You, actually I drove the boat in slowly to the dock then loaded on trailer and removed the mooring rope. Do you think damage is likely or not?

Thanks again

I've done (actually my boys did) the same thing twice. Cut the rope out with a knife and you will be OK. Shine a light up in there to make sure you see and get to everything.
