I am getting ready to use the rest of my gas to burn this thing. I just replaced the wear ring and impeller because I sucked up a rock and trashed both. Now I take it to the lake and it starts right up. We pull away from shore and it just bogs down. Wont hardly go at all. I had run it on the hose before I left the house and it worked good. I used the fitting on the side of the boat. The one just under the rear hatch. The fitting on the stern was capped off. I left the quick connect hose fitting on the port I used. When the boat was running at the lake I opened the rear hatch and water was shooting out of the quick connect fitting I used when I ran it on the hose. Is there any way I blocked off some hose when I did the impeller and ring? I need some help.

You really need to add your seadoo year and model to your avatar for easy reference to your seadoo. I think I have mentioned this to you about 5 times....The fitting on the rear of the jet boat is not capped. Only the fitting under the hatch lid needs to be caped, when not in use. If you run it on the hose, and the pressure is too much it will go out the rear fitting. If you don't block off the fitting under the hatch it will spray like a fountain. If the water pressure was too much it could have flooded the engine as well. Be sure it runs after you plug the correct end fitting, and unplug the one on the rear of the boat.

Life is easier with more information...:)
Let us know how it goes with the water and the caps for the cooling system.

Alright I put the boat in the water today again to give this thing one more chance. On the hose it runs ok at low RPM but when I increase the RPM's it surges. When I put it in the water all I can get out of is about 3500-4000 RPM's and its about 10 MPH. Any ideas?

I know exactly what the problem is. You need to remove the 4 screws and cover plate over the control levers. Spray the stainless screws with PB Blaster so they unscrew easily. Under the plate is 4 more screws. Do the same to those also. Remove the control lever assy., being careful not to scratch the boat finish, and in the middle of the unit is a small single safety switch. Usually it sticks down and when you put the boat in forward or reverse it allows the engine to rev normally. It's purpose is to not allow it to over rev in netural. You can pull the switch apart and spray PB Blaster on it as well, so it springs back as it should. When you reassemble the control unit use "never seize" on the screws so they will remove easy to remove next time if need be.

The only switch I see is the one under the forward and reverse lever. I think it's the one that tells the beep beep thing if the boat is in gear when you start it. Give me a little more guidance.

It is a safety switch under the control lever assy... yes it will tell the mpem that your in gear...it will also limits your rpm's as I stated in the previous post.

OK Me and my screw driver are going to go at it tomorrow. Thanks for you help. I will let you know ifit works. Thanks

OK Me and my screw driver did not do so good. The only switch I found under the forward reverse throttle levers is a small switch with 2 wires going to it. I took it apart and it is a sealed switch with a little white button on the top. I press the button and the boat gives a chirp. There is nothing to put PB blaster, and I love that stuff by the way, too. If I am missing something please help me out.
