I recently bought a 98 GSX Limited with the 951. Ran great saturday (the first time I had it out) but on sunday I kept getting an intermitten flashing red light on my info guage. Im wondering what this means. Does it mean no oil pres.? Im new to water sports and pwc's but Im a mechanic so Im just trying to get pointed in the right direction. I have a service manual on the way but it hasnt arrived yet. Thanks in advance for the help...

You should sign up to be a Premium Member. You've got access to all of the manuals and get expert advice.

Are you getting and kind of info on the gauge? Mine was blinking red and I was getting a "12V low" on my gauge. If it's blinking then you should be getting info on the gauge?

Does it cost to become a premium member? Also I talked to a guy at watercraftsuperstore today and he told me the dame thing.. Thats is a low voltage warning and to check my electrical connections. I would have known that at first except the lcd screen in my info guage is shot and cant be read. He also said that there is no "low oil press. alarm". Only a low oil alarm.. Is this true? One more thing. Do you know of a store I can buy from online that sells oil. I was told to only run seadoo oil or amsoil.. Is this true..

It does cost to become a member. I think it's $10.95 a month. But you have access to download any manual available and they have almost all of them including the carb manual. Plus the moderators will check that forum first before coming the this one. I highly recommend it. I've got two Sea Doos and got the manual for both of them, plus the carb manual. That alone paid for my six month membership. It's up to you! On to your questions......

Low Voltage is a hot topic. And there're many causes. Bad Battery, bad connections, bad rectifier, bad magneto. First I would check your battery doing a load test. This can be done at AutoZone, Advance auto, or O'Reily. Check all of your connections.

If your screen isn't working and you don't want to fix it, I suggest PreMix your oil and gas. The last thing you want to do is run the risk of killing your engine. 40:1 is the ratio you want to mix. It's very easy to do with a oil pump block off kit available from SBT.com for $14.95, and you always know that as long as your carbs are working you're getting oil, and if your carbs aren't working your engine won't run.

For oil. You can find it on Amazon.com. Search for Sea Doo XPS. Get the Full Synthetic. It's expensive but so is an engine rebuild or a new engine.
