bleeding oil lines on challenger ?

i am new to jet boating and have alot of questions and concerns. the next project on the list for my 1800 challenger w/ 787 twins is to change the inline oil filters. i am wondering if it is hard to bleed the lines after installing filters ? would i save time/mess/oil if i use line pinchers on either side and let filter fill with oil before plugging it into engine side ?
 
If you don't use a line pincher, then you will loose most of your oil.

It's not hard to do. Once you get the filter in the feed hose... loosen the pincher a little and let the oil start to flow into the filter. Then, just as the filter fills... stuff it into the hose going to the pump. After you get the filter on, and the clamps are tight... open the bleeder on the pump, and make sure all the bubbles are out.
 
when the bleeder screw snaps how much of a p.i.t.a. is it to fix? sounds like i will have to check the screw after this procedure to see if it is snug.
 
not too bad if you just leave the broken screw in the hole and put some sealant over it...

it actually wasn't leaking, the sealant was a precaution. i guess the pita comes NEXT time i need to bleed my lines
 
i just changed the oil filters and with careful use of the line pinchers i was able to do it without any air bubbles on the one and only one small bubble on the other. and that solo bubble traveled up to the resevoir and out! i am glad i didn't have to tamper w/ the bleeders. i think that by having the cap off the res. helped that bubble travel. could this be?
