I have both of these things if you wanna borrow it.

Remember, it's anodized so it's not like raw aluminum that will polish to a mirror finish. If you want to check it, use a volt meter set to continuity, put both leads on the part. If the anodize is still good the meter won't change. If it goes to 0.something the anodize has broken down.
