Beginner bought my first pair of ski's have some questions.

So I bought my first pair of ski's I wasn't really planning it but I figured its a great time of year to go out and enjoy the lake I always wanted a pair so I pulled the trigger. 2003 GTX supercharged ski's about 60 hours on each.

I tried searching but I didn't find a thread similar to what I was asking.

What should be the first things I do,change,replace, check before I take my ski's into the lake. I've been told they've been winterized. Is there some type of dewinterization process? Are there any threads about this sort of thing that I may have missed? Stuff I should check? Listen for? Clean?
I was thinking
1. Flush Old fuel
2. Change Oil.
3. Flush coolant / replace
4. Replace spark plugs? Best type for a stock ski?

Does anyone change there own oil on these things or is it all dealer service.

Hey man,

I'm new at this as well, but if you want to avoid a dealer my suggestions would be to replace all your fluids and throw a set of plug at them. I'm in Vegas too, just got a pair of GTI SEs. Maybe I'll see you out at the lake or river! Back on track, maybe for the first service after you bought them it would be money well spent at the dealer to have them "professionally" serviced, then you can go from there!

There is no real dewinterization process, just charge/hookup battery, top off with fresh gas and go ride. That is all I would do just to check them out but be very cautious at first and listen and check engine compartment frequently.

You can change the oil but if it was winterized properly, the oil and filter should have been changed. I'd check the oil and make sure it looks clean and in the middle of the dipstick, it shouldn't be overfilled or even at the very top.

To change your own oil, you'll need a pump, there's no drainplug.
