Beeper

Replaced beeper for 97 challenger. Beeper works when connected to battery, but not when I hook up to wiring. Not electrically inclined so what and how to check if wire is bad. Thanks

On my SPX, the beeper is connected to thermoswitch on the motor to indicate overheating. The switch is open normally except if overheated, which then closes the connection to the battery, which turns on beeper. Not sure how you are testing but maybe switch is bad. Might take out switch and put in boiling water to check it.

Yes no switch, it should beep when dess Connected. Beeps when hooked up straight to battery but not connector

This is what I have. How do I hook it up correctly with two wires. Is one terminal a ground?
