Did you check the temperature at that point? 150 isn't all that hot. I wonder if you have a water flow problem coming OUT the back of the ski. That would back up everything and cause a temperature rise.. Just thinking. Good job on the testing.
Unfortunately the battery in my thermometer died. But the temporary tube I was using as a coupler is rated at +250 degrees so it is getting hot.

Have you pulled that orfice or fitting at the mid pipe and verified it's clear? You've established water is flowing to it, but it could be blocked.

I know this sounds weird, but the threaded hole that the fitting goes into, that's not blocked. Like you can stick a screw driver into the pipe.

Yup, when I pulled it all apart this morning I made sure they were not blocked and also blew compressed air into the fitting holes

Ok so I have pulled everything and inspected the cooling system. Only thing I can think of is a faulty wcv. Anyone know of a place where I can order a new one? Also going to order a high temp silicon connector.

Completely disassembled the water valave and this is what i found. Rust underneath the bellows. Also found these 3 washers and according to the manual they don't belong. They were under where the spring would sit. I would say this water valve has been rigged and is shot.

That's why we take them apart. Any sign of rust on the WCV needs to be investigated. There should be a washer inside the valve. Make sure it is in place. It seals the stem.

So you said he just installed that. I think that was an old valve, they don't rust that fast. Shane in me for not asking you to dissect it, I just assumed since you said it was new it was new. Well, you're on the right path now.

Well just learning new things every day working on this. Now the goal is to get a new valve before Friday so I can install and test. Unfortunately there are no seadoo dealers within 100 miles of me and the one that is closest does not stock older seadoo parts. So ording online is my best bet.

Ok found a used water valve on ebay and got it today. Disassembled it and everything looks good. Some things I found compared to the old valve is the spring in the old one was weak compared to the new one. The new one's spring fills as strong as the rave valve springs. Old spring is on the left in the photo. Also the setting on the new one has the red adjuster slightly higher than the black lip. Going to install it and test tomorrow. Also got a new coupler that is rated to 500 degrees.

If you are concerned about the adjustment, just screw the red cap all the way down then loosen 3 turns. You should be good.

Thanks, already made the adjustment and It came out to the exact same spot so going to head to the lake and see how things run. Will test the water flow on the trailer first.

Ok so success! Went out this morning and rode for 3 hrs. Everything is working as it should. Didn't melt the coupler and no overheating. Was getting 6500rpms on the lake. Only issue now is there is a hesitation on idle if I try to take off from a dead stop after sitting. I have to feather the throttle but once it catches it takes off and rides with no issue. Did have to tow my friend in off the lake though due to a bad battery.
