battery reads 15 to 16 volts when running 1999 gtx

Hi I just bought a 1999 gtx. The battery was dead so I put a new one in. push the start button and everything runs good .. I tested the batter with a voltmeter when off and have 12.5 volts dc but when running I get 15 to 16 volts dc was wondering If someone could tell me if this is normal for a sea doo and if not what should I start looking at. You have a bad regulator. Get it fixed before you roast your MPEM !!!!

Pretty sure you will need to buy the external rectifier kit....those had it built into the MPEM. Dealer will tell you you have to buy a MPEM...but you dont.
