i put the battery back in from a winter of trickle and I connected the 2 black cables to the negative and the red to the positive on the battery cable. engine fires up, had a great time on the river yestrday but the lights, horn, radio etc. are not working. dealer wants me to bring it in but its a distance. anyone have the same issue. its a 2008 challenger seadoo.

thanks

on my 98 all of those dash switches are controlled by 1 wire. Check to make sure you didnt leave an accessory wire off.

thanks,

i will look again

i did notice a reset button or a circuit breaker after the on/off knob for the third wire,(second black wire) but when I push it in, it springs back out. not sure if this resets the breaker.

i should have took a picture before I disconnected the battery to drip charge for the winter.

dash buttons not working

For anyone else with a 2008 challenger seadoo, when I reconnected the battery cables, 2 blacks to negative and 1 red to possitive, from winter storage - the horn, lights, radio and fan did not work. I took the drive to the dealer and had him review if I correctly installed the cables, apparently this model has a reset breaker/circuit for the dash switches (horn, lights, fan etc.), which is located below the big round battery shut off. This breaker has failed and will not reset during the winter break. If you have connected your battery after winter storage, and your horn, radio, lights, fan does not work, check to see if the breaker can be reset, you push in the black button and it should click in, if it doesnt click in, you might have the same problem I have.
