You just now mention that you are at 7300 feet above sea level?

You will never get the same performance at that altitude that you will at sea level, not even close. The air is just too thin. Take it down to sea level and I'll bet it runs perfectly and reaches normal max rpms.

The 4tec is a smart motor. It will adjust for richness at higher altitudes and will run as efficiently as it can but you just can't get the same hp at that altitude.

okay...well part of the prob is altitude. You're a mile and a half up.

what's your rad?

go here and punch your numbers in the top....Tell us what your hp % is.

Just throwing my own numbers in...you're running pig rich because of the altitude.
OK hp is 75.5%

I am new to this info so how will this afect the rpm and what do I need to adjust to this altitud

The funny thing I have another pwc a Yamaha with 90 hp at sea level no mods at all and it runs faster then my sea doo that is su posed to be 155hp

I tested them today and the old Yamaha is faster and I can pull a skier with the Yamaha and with the doo is no posible

I would agree with WFO. Officially, it absolutely could cause the ski to not reach max RPM. That said, if you have a ground issue, max RPM is the least of your concerns. With a bad/poor ground some many items simply do not have the amperage (still gets the volts in most cases, just not the amps to push the volts) that they need.

If you simply can not find the issue, I would go to the local auto parts store and buy 2 or 3 negative battery cables. Run an extra (leave the original) from the battery to the block, from the same connection on the block to a location near the starter or on the starer battery. Then see if you still have the issue.

A bad rectifier CAN limit max RPMs. Super easy to test, simply unplug it and run the ski. If the issue goes away, replace the rectifier.
So today I went to the water and unplug the rectifier had no change in the power of the pwc

Any other idea??

So you're lookin at approximately 117hp. Quite a drop. There's your missing r's. As for why you can't pull a skier. Dunno. Maybe the Yammi has a better low end prop...more torquier...as opposed to the top end oriented doo prop?
...........................

As for compensating?...dunno. open up your air intake will help some...not much. If it was an scic model I could make some recommendations that'd help a bit more.

Sorry
