Hi guys, my one unit (GTx) is just about at a hundred hours, the other (RXP- ridden very hard in rough water) is at 68 hrs (but I've owned it for 3 years now).

What's the best option for the superchargers?
Should I just replace the washers?
Should I send them in to get rebuilt? If so, where?
A guy at work told me he plans on putting brand new superchargers in his when they reach 100 hrs.

Just wondering what you all did, thanks.

2007 might possibly have ceramic washers & if so, at the very least the washers need to get off that SC asap.
But, if it's out then it really should be rebuilt. I rebuilt an 08 with steel washers @ 110 hours & the original bearings were tight & quiet, but once its taken apart to inspect the bearings, they become compromised because of the method in which you remove them. Plus you need the tools & the specific procedure in how to install the bearings without dimpling the races. So, its best to just rebuild them, or have it rebuilt preferably by a reputable place using the oem parts.

So at the very least, remove it to see if it has the ceramic washers. if they are steel you might have some time & if the SC goes bad its less likely to tear up the engine, but it can ruin the SC. If it was me, I would rebuild it, but I have the tools to do so. To hire it out you'll likely spend around $600 or so with parts. Not sure the price on the new ones, but no doubt they are even more money.
