HX vereses XP?

Just one question, if you have a complete XP, then why in the heck are you wantin to put that motor in the HX. The XP hull is a better ride for the XP than the HX.

If you have all that you need to run it, wiring, pump, .... the whole 9 yards, then you should be able to do it. You might have some minor changes with the motor mounts.

thanks seadoosnipe

well its actually not me its my girlfriends dad doing it im just helping if it was mine i would not do it i would just fix the hull on the xp and ride the sh*t out of both of them. but to anser ur question the hull leaks and is in terrible condition but the motor has 150 psi in bothe cylinders and runs strong so we have already pull the motor and started fiting it in the hull its gonna be a pain in the a** i can already see it but will be cool to ride.

also have another quick question my hx i just bought has 135 psi cold in both cylinders is that ok and do u think it will last for a while its completely stock (i bought his motor from him because it has 150 psi in one cylinder and 149 psi in the other so 300 for it wasnt bad and its always good to have a spare)

To get an accurate reading for a compression test you should do it on a motor that has been warmed up and you should check if three separate times. If you have 135 in each cylinder your good to go and you motor should be good for a while, compression wise:cheers:

thanks b15philly

thanks for the quick response i thought it was ok but picked up that spare motor anyway it ran great today and i think im ready to try the beach daytona is just a calling

some pics of us gettin the motor in

here are some pics of us getting the motor in we just need to get it lined up now with the drive shaft. If anybody knows where we can get an alingment tool or rent one or even borrow it let me know thats all we need to finish up building motor mounts

What 787 parts do you have left now, I am looking for a freshwater cyl head and water cover - my niece has xp800 and it is a crotch rocket, is the HX ride a little smoother without the tipsy feeling?

cylinder head

sorry have no engine parts left i have the rest of the 97xp left but no motor or mpem. the hx feels about the same in the water just a lot faster and a lil better handeling other than that its just has a lot more low end
