Take a look at these pics and tell me ifthis is the norm please.

I assume that this is a warrenty issue, but my second question is that if I installed a stereo and drilled small holes into my tower to run wire would that void my warrenty even though where the tower broke is no where close to the holes i drilled?

The water was a little choppy, I was driving across the lake to the local party spot and after I hit a wake it just snapped.......

persoanlly i wouldn't tell them what you did, i would keep their attention on the break and the fact that it shouldn't have done that.

Definitely keep us posted on what they tell you when you bring it in...there will be many people that want to see how this ends up for you.

so i decided to look at the other side... look at these small cracks starting, in the exact same place.

Dude...
If you put too much weight on the tower (speakers, wakeboard rack, wakeboards, and towing always with tower) I can see how that can happen.. also do not over tighten the hex screws (that can easily over time affect that perticular part every time, its not steel).
I have exactly the same speedster and can relate to your ordeal.
That is why I can tell you that regardless put a claim in with seedoo. Your dealer might not want to fight to hard for you but you contact them directly and be persistant.. I had to fend for myself already with e'm and they take like what seems for ever. Also go through your boat insurance, with full coverage I don't see why they wouldn't cover it.
Keep us informed

Great news!!!

It wasnt even a fight at all.
The dealer/mechanics at RTR Performance in Kamloops BC were excellent.
They caled BRP in Quebec and they said this is unheard of, they were very apologetic and asked if anyone was hurt. Then asked a few questions about how many hours on my boat ect ect ect.

And after only 1 day and even though my B.E.S.T. warrenty expired in June they are sending a brand new tower from Quebec.

Wont be here till august but thats OK.

Just for clarifiacation as well, Ive only folded my tower down twice in the last 3 years and it wasnt only cracking at the bolts but there are cracks on the welds above the bolt.
