I have a 97 Challenger, single 787. I didn't get to the impeller change last year but just blew out a wear ring. So, if and when I decide to get to it, I want to go with a new impeller. I talked to Dave and Impros last year and I gave him my boat info and asked him if there was an impeller that maintains top end with a little more Oompf getting on plane. I know...asking too much for best of both worlds huh? He recommended the 14.5/22.5. I know the 16/23 is a popular choice but wondering if anyone has tried this one.

Thanks

Anybody have experience with different manufacturers? So far I have found the following recommendations:
Skat Trak Swirl 14.5/22.5
NuJet SDA6 or SDA6.1
Solas SD-SC-X0(16.5/23.5)
can anyone suggest which is best?
Would like a good hole shot (towing a skier), good cavitation performance, and decent top end.

For out of the hole performance... Without a doubt..... the Skat-Trak "Swirl" impellers are the best.

FYI... NuJet SUX !!

Thanks. That's just the advice I needed. Couldn't figure out why NuJet was so much cheaper. Guess "You Get What You Pay For" still rings true.

NuJet is like an OEM repalcement Nujet made a lot of impellers for OEM companies. I have one in my Yamaha GP1200 and they thing hooks up way better than the stock one pulls the ski right up when you gas it or if turn real hard it will flip you off beacuse it bits so hard. Its pretty funny watching people do it the first time. Not sure how they are for seadoo's. I just bought 2 Skat 14.5/22.5 swirls but haven't had the boat in the water yet this year to try them out. The swirls are good at cutting up weeds also if you boat in grassy or weedy lake/river.
