I have pulled the nozzle off my 96 xp to inspect the wear ring. I am still a little unsure how to accurately measure the clearance with the type of feeler gage I have. My question is what causes wear to the wear ring? From my calibrated eye the tolerance looks to be within the .040. There are some very shallow wear lines in it maybe in the range of .005.
