So i came across this 2006 rxp for $2500. I am so clueless about these v tec skis but wanna start getting involved and not lose my shirt. I found complete stator set ups on ebay for 350. They housing , oil pump and everything else involved. One is a 05 and one is a 07. I hope they are correct and interchangable. The motors has head off, n cylinder look great. First with head and stator assembly off i looks to be like bolt on parts. Would there be any special tool or any super technical stuff when putting back together? Like timing ect? ... here is add
I have a 2006 Sea Doo RXP with an aftermarket air intake, off throttle assisted steering and the titanium bearing upgrade completed on the supercharger. There is about 125 hours on the engine as of now. I originally posted this ad back in October as needing some engine work. I have since pulled the engine and found the root cause of the failure to be a bad magneto and oil pump. It looks like ~$500 worth of parts and time would get this back up and running. I unfortunately do not have a lot of time due to my job requirements.

There were major changes to the 4 TEC engine between the 05 engines and the 06 engines. Anything to do with the Magneto Cover assembly generally isn't interchangeable. Mainly (but not limited to) the stator, PTO cover, crank and CB shaft. There were also some pretty major revisions to the oiling system. So if you need parts for your 06, make sure you buy 06+ up used parts.

Ok i just seen the ski and motor. It looks real nice. Has a riva hose not sure what that is. All parts are very nice and just needs that oil shaft, the oil pump outter rotor. The stater plate, magneto flywheel and starter gear. And 150 in gaskets. I can getvit for 2000 bucks. I think its a good deal but wish i could talk to a vtec guy. Head looks nice, pistons and cylinders are nice too. Am i correct thinking its
a 4500 machine
