so ive had my 93 gtx for a long time and finally have time for it again. i had someone rebuild the carbs for me and the told me my chock cable was bad. they removed it and i ordered the cable. now the person isnt answering my calls to come install the cable. i am very familiar with motors on truck and bikes/quads but for the life of me this jetski just gets me aggrivated.

how do i install the new choke cable? i tried looking for screws in the little fittings on the carbs. the cable doesnt fit so i think the supposed allen screws are recessed. does anyone know what size wrench they would be or where they go? im lost and really want to fix this and start riding

I've done this many times and I don't recall any particular problem, while I don't know the exact size of the allen screw I just tried several allen sizes until I found the correct one. Just buy a cheap assortment at Harbor Freight. Insert the new cable through the opening in the console, the solid part of the cable goes through the two choke fittings in the carbs.

Where is the allen screw on the that fitting? On the end or parrell to the hole the cable rod goes in?

This is a pic off google. Is the allen screw on the face of that fitting or on the fitting similar to how the cable rod passes through it

It's in the hole in the end of the hex shaped thing and is perpendicular to the hole the choke cable goes through. Don't feel too bad, I had a hell of a time finding it first time around

you circled it in your prior post

Its the hole thats threaded. Maybe your set screw is already out so you may just have a hole. ACE has new set screws, get stainless if you need them.

Got em. Wow what a pain in the ass. But after you figure it out it is simple enough. Thanks for the help. Honestly would still be ripping my hair out otherwise.
