What events can trigger the alarm?
Is it only overheating?
Can it be low fuel? Low oil? Low voltage?
I ask because I have a 96 GTI screaming an alarm at me, but the over temp light shows all is normal. The voltage light is on (still trying to get to the bottom of that), and fuel and oil are full.
I'm just trying to figure out if the alarm I am getting means I have a charging problem AND a cooling problem, or if its telling me to get my charging system fixed.
