Ok I have a hole shot problem, the boat wants to cavates badly on take off:ack:. Yet it tops out at 58mph on the speedo:hurray:. I notice today it blow white water if you give any gas. Is this normal. I am use to outbard motors and the exhaust blows out the center of the prop so seeing white water ( air in the stream) is normal. But I would not think it would be for a jet boat! Is it?

BTW I have a 1997 speedster with twin 720 Rotax's. Loud, Drinks Gas, but when it tooks up it is unreal... :)

Several times in the past month or so, us 96 and 97 model guys have complained about the same thing. Poor holeshot, cavtation when taking off, etc.

I started getting it 2 trips ago, and apparently, most of us are suffering from stiff, dried out old rubbers :reddevil:

The rubber boot that pushes the carbon seal against the steel portion is losing it's elasticity and allowing air from the engine bay to seep past under hard accelleration, causing cavitation.

This may not be your issue, but this has popped up several times in the past month, leading me to believe that is why mine is doing it. Take a look at yours and see if that is your problem as well.
