Aftermarket VTS boot

Just picked up a 97 spx to add to my collection. My first x4 hull though and 787.
I see aftermarket boot kits available everywhere.
The aftermarket boot ok? I know somethings are necessary oem such as carb kits, fuel selectors, etc. tried searching this but didn’t find to much specific about the aftermarket vs the oem.
