Please Help!!! I replaced the starter on by 2004 Seadoo GTX 4tec engine and apparently I did not put the starter gear back on the starter shaft correctly. I started the Seadoo, ran it a while and when I tried to restart it, the engine would not turn over. I removed the starter and found the gear & snap washer had come off. Is there a way to find the gear and snap washer without removing the engine? What should have been a simple fix has turned into a mess....any advise would be greatly appreciated!

My buddy Chris says to pull the engine, and dig into it to fix the problem. From the sounds of it you're not that experienced, so in my opinion it may be time to take it to the dealer. Good luck!

Good advise. I was hoping it would be a simple fix.
