Adjust carbs for top speed

Had boat(1995speedster) a few weeks back and was running 55 with 4 people until I sucked something into fuel filters and it quit running right. So last week I pulled carbs and took them apart to clean out the internal filters. I read about lowspeed idle screws, turning them all the way in and then out 1.5 turns. Only problem is I did it to the high speed screws first, and then realized I screwed up. Took boat out yesterday and it ran like a top, went all day with no problems. The only thing was it was just me and my wife and would only top out at about 45, 10 slower than what it was doing with 4 people. Does anyone know how I should set the high speed screws to get it back to normal

High speed screw.

G'day mate, just my two cents.

Ive done the same as you before, accidently turning the high speed screw. They originally had a plastic cap on them so you couldnt mess with them much but most of the time they are gone.

The factory setting on the high speed screw is all the way in, and to rich the mixture its no more then 1/4 out.

Dont know if that will get it back to 55, but on average these boats only hit about 50 so i cant help you there mate.

I am new to these boats but that is the advice I have been given by our friendly experts on the forum and have read from heaps of posts.

Hope this helps,
FRANKY

I'm not 100% sure about your jetting... but SeaDoo normally sets up the carbs to have the high speed needle closed, or a 1/4 turn open.

I would start with 1/4 turn open, and check the plugs.
