A long bip and can´t move forward

Dear Friends:

I need a little help to know what is the problem with my speedster.
My boat can´t pass from 2500 rpm and doesn´t move forward. I hear a continue beep until a put in 0 the throtle.

Before that problem, last weekend each 2 minutes a beep was hear and sometimes beep 3 times.

Can anyone tell me what will be the problem??

I dont know much about the mercury powered boats, but it sounds like a problem with the neutral safety switch to me.
