First off, Great Site!!!
I have an 99 XP that I just replaced all the gray fuel lines and rebuilt the carbs. Well prior to doing my research I tried removing the tuned pipe so I could get to the carbs. I could not get the one nut off the exhaust manifold without the special wrench.
After finishing the carb rebuild I started it up and noticed a leak around the tuned pipe metal band. So I dissconnected the lower end of the tuned pipe and cleaned the matting surface of the pipe and the copper ring.
So I took it out on the water and noticed the fuel guage was reading empty on a 3/4 full tank. I was also getting a long beep every couple of minutes. I ran the ski for about two hours and took it home.
When I got it home I hooked up the water hose and flush it out. Well during the flushing I noticed a mist of water coming from a pinhole about an inch from the spark plug.
Am I really seeing a pinhole in my cylinder head? Where would the water be getting in from?
This project has really turned into a major one.
Thanks
