The book shows this piece to be a neoprene seal. I saw a picture of it on as well. The shop I got my replacement parts from says , thats the one " i change 20 of them a year". What they gave is more like a modified O-ring that fits over the pump first and adds a 1/4 of length to the unit(pump). My wear had never been changed, , so I don't think anyone has ben in there?
Also When I first took off the pump there was only a small amount of something between it and the hull.

anyone else seen this kind of seal? Thanks

Thats where I saw the first actual picture of it and thats what it looks like in the shop manual. ?? But...not what I recieved as a replacement.

Has anyone used a different seal than the one shown it the pics. Thanks

Can you post a pic of the seal you were given?

The only pump seal I've used on Seadoo's is the Neoprene seal.

I don't man, I put it back together already. You could tell tho that that ring was really getting squished ta shit. A good seal I guess... I had a look with a little mirror to see if the small rings sealed, they seem to have. Thats what I was worried a bout in the first place.. it's just weird tho?

Hey Is it possible for an impellor to be against the wear ring after installing a new one, the book says to lube it up?
