I have a '99 Sea Doo (951 w/ reed plates).I have damage to my crankcase in the lower reed plate recess. The slot for the crankshaft has been enlarged about the size between a nickel and a quarter. Does this have to be welded before I can rebuild the engine? Or is it not critical?" Then we will go from there. I would like to rebuild it with oversize pistons for more piston c.i.d. and power. Attached is a few pics.
