99 seadoo gtx rfi frying rectifiers.

I picked up a project 99 gtx rfi. Someone had installed an extra battery and it had multiple extra rectifiers in the storage compartment. I removed one battery. Lol. It was charging at about two volts while running. I changed the rectifier. It now charges at 22-26 volts while running. Possibly a bad stator causing ot to fry rectifiers?

Also, I tested the yellow wires at the rectifier to the stator. They all have continuity to each other and none to ground. The red wire has voltage. The black wire has continuity to ground.

The repair manual will tell you the resistance and continuity numbers you should see. If I remember correctly you should see around (.3- .8) ohm resistance on the yellow wires. There is also an alternator output test for the AC voltage you should see on the multi-meter. The rectifier changes it to DC. So.... sounds like you are in the ball park. You might want to check the alternator AC output because that could be the source of the friend rectifiers. Good Luck
