So I rolled my 99 GTX LTD last weekend, and it's been giving me troubles ever since. Made sure to flip it back over the correct way according to the sticker on the back, and once we got all the water drained out of the hull and engine (pulled spark plugs, shot water out of cylinders, put in new spark plugs) it did start and I rode it hard for about 20 minutes. In those 20 minutes it stalled 3 or 4 times, and took a long time to reach full RPM. Next time I put it in the water, I had to put in new spark plugs again. Stalls at low RPM, takes a while to get up to full RPM, and once it gets there it slowly loses RPM as well. I pulled the choke when it was struggling to build RPM and it stalled immediately. Overall it's been ridden for about an hour since the rollover. It still starts, but it's acting strange like how I described.

On Saturday I pulled out the airbox, there was still a little water in the bottom of it, so I'm drying that out now. I pulled the carbs, going to check/clean the little filters in them. I checked the rear electrical box, and it looks like that stayed dry. What else should I be checking/cleaning?

When my SPX (787) took on water, I remember draining and replacing some oil in the crankcase, does the 951 also have oil in the crankcase that I need to replace?

It s possible that water got trapped inside the plastic gasket on fuel pump side of the carb,,,where the pulse line connects to!,,
maybe you have water in the tank, check your water separator,

That's an interesting thought... now that I'm thinking about it the symptoms make sense if water got in the tank. I checked the water separator but it was hard to tell if it was full of a gas-water mixture, or just gas. It was at least partially gas, according to the smell. But how would water have gotten in there?

Thru the filler,,,perhaps,,,check for water in the fuel pump portion,,,if you put some premix directly into the cylinders,,,does she fire up?
Just remove your fuel filter,,if there is a lot of water in there,,,then you have water at the bottom of the tank that is not the result of condensation, that happens to many skis.

So I tried to fire it up today, and it only runs on one cylinder. Did a compression test, and I got 90 on one side, and 0 on the other. I know my gauge is good, when I checked my other ski (the one that runs) I got 150 each. So.... Looks like I have an engine to replace/rebuild [emoji22]

Tbh I'm surprised it even started at all

Was already at 250 hours, so I was bound to end up rebuilding soon anyways. From what I understand that's longer than most 951s last
