Good-day. I have issues and getting frustrated. First time out this year, dead battery. Not a big deal, purchaed a new one. Worked fine off the dock, but when out in the water didn't want to turn over/battery was draining. OK so I solved that issue with a new voltage rectifier and getting a charge of 13.8 volts at 5500 rpm. But now that boat will NOT start in the water. It will turn over but not fire. I figured with the low voltage it burned up the fuel pump, so I put a new on in. (fuel pressure was a bit low/wouldn't hold pressure) Compression is 150 on one side and 155 on the other. This boat will fire right off and run no problem on the trailer but when it gets in the water it will not start. What is next???? Is the starter burning up? is it drawing too much voltage when it is in the water and won't let the fuel pump run?? PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Thanks for your time.
