99 GSX RFI won't start 2 beeps then 4 beeps?

Please help... 99 GSX RFI electronic problem.

While putting the lanyard on, I get the normal two beeps then 4 longer beeps and it won't start. I put in a brand new battery and checked all the connections & fuses and it still does this. The problem is intermittent because sometimes it will start right up and run perfect but most of the time i just get the annoying 4 beeps and no start. Anyone have a clue what would cause this? Thanks!

I got a shop manual and it says the 4 beeps means the MPEM cannot communicate with the Bosch ECU. Only problem is I have no idea where the ECU is, I checked the wiring diagram and there is no mention of a ECU anywhere on the diagram. Is the ECU an internal component of the MPEM?

Wow, I guess no one with GSX RFI experience is on here. Anyway I took the MPEM housing apart and indeed the Bosch ECU is located inside but it is a separate module. I found tons of white powder residue inside the ECU so it looks like water made it's way in there somehow. I cleaned it all up put it back together and it worked one time then back to the 4 beeps again. I just ordered a used one off ebay. I sure hope that will fix it.
