99 Challenger 1800 Fuel Gauge Problem

I just purchased my first SeaDoo boat, one item that was wrong with it when I bought it was the fuel gauge doesn't work. Just wondering where to start to get this problem resolved. Thanks for any help, FireAsh

Common problem. The old floats don't like our new fuel. And... they sink. OR... the magnets fall off.

Buy a new style float (Blow molded) and there is a 99% chance that it will fix the problem.

spent 10 days at the lake and my fuel gauge went out. Tapped the gauge with my finger a few times and it worked again. did that for 3 days everytime it showed empty and it's working fine now. but then my RPM gauge stopped working and I tapped it with my finger but it still doesnt wok....LOL
