Hey guys have a little problem. My jet will run fine and strong and take now water while it's moving. Once it sits it's filling up to the point it won't start. I had to get towed in last summer due to this problem. The bilge pump was replaced. Someone told me it could be the gasket or seal where the jet is at. Any advice or help to this problem would be great.

Also, my speedometer isn't working and was wondering if the little wheel on the rear has anything to do with it. It has some teeth missing

Thanks again

welcome to the forum! an easy way to find that water leak would be to add water to the hull n watch for leaks.also, how long does it take to fill up with water ?mine has leaked from many spots, the worst was the exhaust hose burnt, from getting too hot, n got a hole in it.
chipped teeth on the sensor will make it not work,or be less accurate than they already are.it can be tested with an ohm meter.

A common item that allows for water to come into the hull while sitting is the Carbon Seal. If the bellows (boot), O-ring (now replaced with e C-clip), or the carbon seal fails in anyways, water will pour into the hull.

There is a second item that will allow for water to enter the hull. They are the siphon tubes. If they are not installed properly water will run in backwards which then fills the hull up.

The wheel itself is pretty cheap and replaceable. Minnetonka4me has them for sale.

Here is a picture of the Carbon Seal and the boot...

Thank you very much I'll have to look into this, the day we all tied up I'd say few hours for it to fill, however I did roll it that day also. I just want to get rid of t and someone interested told me it would be a 5 to 600 dollar repair at a dealer and I really don't believe that

I had a similar problem last summer. Take off the exhaust manifold and check the gasket there. Mine was broken which is what was causing the leak.
