98' gtx ltd low rpm,mph

Have a 98'gtx ltd that tops out at 6000rpm if im lucky carbs and raves have been cleaned maintenance codes have been cleared still tops out at 6000rpm any ideas. thanx also have checked its fuel lines are black i think it should be about 7000-7200 rpm it used to due over 60mph easy

water regulators' bad(rave looking thing, on muffler)....?

Pull the little water line, coming from it, to the pipe, at the pipe. then go rip around, if water doesnt decrease in stream, get new regulator.

new regulator would be the whole assembly for 170 bucks? and when should the water decrease

also can i run it on hose with line off or do i have to pull to lake

take to lake. Hooking to hose, backflushes the system.

Have read, where you can by the parts to rebuild it, and turned out to be some success
