98 gtx limitied ECU issues>

I had weak spark, and now no spark. My seadoo ran fine and then died and i have been fighting finding out what it is most of the summer (thank god i have two) Replaced all fuel lines and fix carbs etc, and finally found out i am hving spark issues not fuel.

I am pointing at the ecu right now, everything looks dry and not corroded. I ended up finding a used one on ebay for 375$ with new programmed key.

So my question is, since it was pulled from a 98, am i going to have the same failing issues? what would cause mine to fail randomly after running strong when i went to test it

The MPEM's don't normally fail without some reason. (short them out, hook up the battery wrong, or jump start the ski) So... I'm going to say no... you shoudln't have a problem, unless there is a problem with your ski.
