Just working on my brother in laws 98 GTX limited and discovered the vacuum lines that come from the rave valves, then T into a single line were disconnected from the solenoid, what symptoms would that cause???

My brother in law's complaints about the unit were a buzzer going off, and fuel gauge showing low and light on when there is gas in the tank... I haven't had time to really look it over, but just fired it quickly for the first time this spring earlier this afternoon and that was when I noticed the vacuum line disconnected.

I am going to test the fuel sender, but if my research holds true, I beleive the buzzer would only be activated by the thermo-switch for overheat??? Are these switches known to go bad?

Thanks for any input

Matthew

The temp senders don't go bad often... but they can go bad.

The RAVE issue will be that the power will sign off a little early, and it won't reach peak RPM's.
