Hello, new to the forums and 1 year owner of a 98 seadoo gtx limited. I bought it with out proper inspection and it has been a constant head ache from the start but when working rode great. I paid 2000$ for it and put another feww hundred into it befor the season ended. I removed the engine in the early fall and now that the season is turning I nee to get it back into the water.

My question is if I should rebuild the top end, wait until I can afford a new motor or just cut my losses and look for a new one?

I bought it and rebuilt the carbs and replaced the fuel lines first. A low fuel alert beeps alots even with a full tank. Had some issues with the ski taking on water seval times and solved it each time. the last time it was out or broke down an oil line had came loose so it was starved. I saw SBT has a bolt on top end for around 600$ and the premium full engine for around 1300$. I know I need a prop and wear ring also.

A fun toy turned into a disaster from the start but i still got many good outing with it between fixing one thing after another. All and any advice is appreciated. Thank you

If you aoing to sell it do the top end. If you are going to keep it do the engine and have the peace of mind and then ride ride ride.. good luck
