I am new to forum and see that fuel problems are common on Seadoo's. Mine is surging above 30mph. I have checked the filter bowl several times after running and have found small pieces of something. What should I check first? Thanks for any help.

my 98 GTI has started doing the same thing. I took the carb off and gave it a good cleaning and put it back together and took it out to test it. For a few minutes it would run full throttle up to about 45 mph and then it started surging again at approximately the 30 mph mark and eventually died and had trouble just idling. Any ideas?

I replaced my fuel delivery and return line and cleaned the jets in the carb and reassembled it. I'll check the filters I guess. I did switch the selector to RES and then back to the main supply and made no difference.

The filters inside the carb are where I'd look at now. If you didnt get that far when you had the carbs off, I can almost guarantee they're the culprit of the surging. Last year, I started replacing my fuel lines, then carb, baffle, now fuel selector. Those grey lines do damage to the entire fuel delivery system. If I could give any advice, it's to change it all completely at once.
