If anyone is running premix machines, has anyone shorted the oil sensor wires (black and blue wires heading to MPEM) to simulate a full oil tank as to prevent the constant low oil alarm on the multifunction display?
The manual indicated that a functioning oil sensor(that is submerged in oil) should have a resistance of no more than 2 ohms. This is the highest acceptable reading so I would imagine the optimum reading should be a dead short Zero ohms.
I would think this should simulate a working oil pump and the MPEM will stop displaying a low oil light.
Has anyone ever done this?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
