I bought a 97 XP this past spring. Had it on Lake Manitou in Indiana a bunch of times. This is the first PWC I have purchased and I am not a pro...however, we have noticed that when you have two riders, it flips way too easily. the water in this lake can be rough sometimes, but even when idling or sitting on it with the eingine off, you feel like you are going to tip over. Is this normal? Is there something I can do to the PWC? Or am I just a moron? It runs great and seems to be super fast (although speedometer doesn't work). My 17 year old son rides it very well by himslef, but with two people it's very hard. This sucks because I would like to take the smaller kids tubing off of the back, and I am afraid to have a spotter sitting backwards if it flips all the time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

XP's aren't like normal couches, they aren't stable with two people. They are performance machines. On glass you shouldn't have a problem because it gets more stable with more speed, but on chop you guys won't last long. If you have adjustable trim, make sure the nozzle is all the way down and that may help some.

Xp's flip easily, so what you're experiencing is normal. Also here in CA it is illegal to pull anybody on a two seater.

Thanks for the tips...and I should probably check to see if it is even legal to pull a tube on this thing. I have seen tubes off PWC's out here before, but never really noticed if they were two or three seaters.
