97 xp propulsion

k on my 97 xp i take it to tha lake and if i trim it up it launches great, if i trim it down it lauches great but if i leave the trim arround half way it doess hardly wanna go motor just revs real high until i trim it up or down then itl take off does any1 know what the problem could be its not the wear ring or the impeller both are brand new

wear ring it.

its got a brand new wear ring and a new impeller and ive looked at it all again and everything checks out good
