hey guys got a 97 xo loading up with fuel after it stops running then its hard to start. had buddy rebuild carbs (new seats and needles, diaphrams the whole 9 yards and it still wants to load up?) any ideas?
hey guys got a 97 xo loading up with fuel after it stops running then its hard to start. had buddy rebuild carbs (new seats and needles, diaphrams the whole 9 yards and it still wants to load up?) any ideas?
It's loading up with fuel because the person that built your carbs, obviously didn't do a pop off test when setting your needle vavle.
Outside pop off being too low, causing the fuel to run into the engine without any manifold pressure (vacuum), he could have also set your lever about the flush to 1mm on the lever. The lever should be flush. If not, it can't be any more than 1mm above flush. If it is, the diaphragm will hold the needle valve open.
Next time, you might want to make sure you have a qualified mechanic work on your carbs.......
