97 XP Disconnect OIL INJECTION????

Hi just bought a 97 xp, real happy with it, runs great, havent had any problems. Ive heard that seadoos oil injection systems are faulty and ruin engines. Should I consider disconnecting mine?? The guy I bought it from has like 10 seadoos and he said hes never had problems with his oil injection at all. Should I be concerned with it?? Please give me your opinions. Thanks, Eric

Where have you read that they are faulty? Not here. Seadoo has the most reliable oil injection system. 9 time out of 10... the failure is because of owner neglect. (rotten hoses, plugged filter, etc)

If you want to remove it... that's up to you... but I keep them on my skis.

Since the ski is new to you... I would service the system to make sure nothing is wrong.

thankyou! just what i wanted to hear, ya idk where i heard that from. Maybe ill get it checked out...where do u get your oil from? I want to use seadoos brand. Thanks

Once you get to know a dealer... they will give you a good price. I've been buying full synthetic XPS for $39/gal locally. You have an 800 engine... so you have to run full syth.
