I'm in need of a new electrical grey box (MPEM). when i open it up, seems pretty melted in there. I've been told that its around $1200 to replace. my question is, do i need a whole new box or can i just get someone to rewire it? I'm in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, so its not that easy to get parts/slash people to work on it.

If the MPEM is bad... there is no way around it. It controls the power, and is the rev limiter for the engine. You can save money, and wire in a MPEM from a ski... but that's up to you how to make it work again. If you need a "Plug and Play" device... you need the exact MPEM you have now.

is $1200 accurate for a new MPEM? and do you know of anyone in Southern Ontario where i could get a used one or to have rewired?
Thanks,
Thoroughly frustrated and lost with this machine....

do you open link above? The guy sent out MPEM he fixes it and sends it back??
If not, post in you regional section for local help...
