I've recently rebuilt my carbs following the carb rebuild guide and using my oem specs. I have a question on my high idle setting. The shop manual says "0" with a plastic cap allowing only 1/4 turns. Well mine didn't have the plastic caps and I know it wasn't dialed all the way in. I tested all my pressures and testing out of water with the hose seems the rpms don't get any higher above half throttle. Would the high idle setting affect this? I believe the high idle was dialed out about 1 & 1/2 at disassembly.
