97 GTX OIL SENSOR

Hello. I have had this jet ski for a few years now. I have never seen the red light for the low oil sensor come on. This is good I suppose. But I'd like to know if it actually working. Is the an easy way to check this?

My first thought would be to empty the oil tank and run a little bit of premixed fuel. I've had to empty my oil tank too many times now, just pick up one of these bad boys and you're good to go.

Unplug it? Or pull the sensor up and out the tank and start the ski. Or run it low.

It is just an idiot light hooked to a simple float. It is pretty easy to pop it out of the tank and see if it turns the light on.
