97 gtx jet pump questions

hey guys just put a new oem wear ring on my uncles jet ski we checked all the bearings and they looked great, cleaned them up a little with wd40 and them let dry and put it all back together, we noticed its pretty tight fit and kinda hard to turn the impeller (think its the wear ring, will this be okay? we made sure not to pinch any bearings, we even took it off and put it back on again to make sure that it was right, also there is not really any play in it. thanks guys

If it's just touching the wear ring... and not a bearing issue... that's fine. Spray in some soapy water... and start the engine. It will clearance itself in just a second or two.
